She glanced back at her five sleeping tiny siblings and adoptive sibling (which surprised most people, as pretty much everybody assumed they were her kits), the last of which she had just settled down, to see if they had been woken by the sound. Thankfully, although Aki stirred a little, they all remained curled up in their nests. She wasn't sure about the kit a little away from her though. Not that she knew him, or anyone in the clan - she had only been there a few weeks, after all, and socialising was hardly a priority. Although, she hadn't really been sure if he had been asleep at all in the time he had been there. She never liked to interfere with other cat's lives, or as most would call it, 'being social', but, after a little hesitation, she whispered, so as not to wake anyone else, "Are you awake?"

Grace chuckled softly at the kit's remark. "Are you tired? I apologise if my sister kept you awake." She wasn't quite sure why she was asking this complete stranger if he was tired, but she had limited her interaction with most other sentient creatures for so long that she suddenly wanted to chatter pointlessly the way the girls that she had always hated in her stupid mother's clan had done.[/fancypost]

"You have to make some friends, Grace!" mewed Cedarkit. Meows of agreement came from the other kits.
"But they'll think you're all my own kits, and I really don't want to, I bring you food everyday, and this is the way you thank me?" Grace complained, pulling out any random excuse she could find. Socialising had never been one of her strong points. In fact, she generally tried to limit her interaction with other sentient creatures as much as possible, save for her siblings and adoptive sibling, and she had no intention of changing that. But of course her brothers and sisters had other ideas. And so there she was, standing in front of a group of strangers with her siblings bouncing around her paws saying, "Um, hello. I'm Grace, it's nice to meet you."[/fancypost]

Though much complaint and trouble had preceded, she had finally succeeded in getting all five of her siblings and adoptive siblings to sleep. They wouldn't wake for hours, she knew, so she smiled and left them to it, slipping out of nursery and into the rain. Ah, how refreshing it was, after the stuffiness and humidity of the nursery. She heard a kit mewing, and turned her head, wondering if the 'Won't you get cold, miss?' was directed at her or the femme not too far from her. She then noticed the approaching leopard, who, although she had never actually spoken to, she recognised as Castingpaw, one of the Clan's Bodyguards. Castingpaw, however, had evidently not noticed her, being as unnoticible as she was. So she slunk just a little closer to the three creatures. Perhaps she should try to stop limiting her contact with other sentient creatures and try to make some acquaintances.[/fancypost]

But she had given the past two hours to herself, and she had promised Aki that she would at least try to make some friends, or acquaintances, at least. She eventually rose from her nest and sat up. She wasn't exactly fond of socialising and didn't really know how to spark a conversation with someone, but people seemed to be constantly introducing themselves to strangers here, so perhaps if she just sat here somebody would come and talk to her. Why was she always so nervous of interacting with sentient creatures? What a thing be afraid of.[/fancypost]
